(Harris County does not require this affidavit.)
The Bride and Groom should go to the County Clerk's Office to obtain their marriage license.
Montgomery County Clerk's Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The license is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.  There is a 72 hour waiting
period.  This period cannot be waived unless:
a.  An applicant is a member of the armed forces of the United States and is on active duty; or
b.  An applicant obtains an order of a district court to waive the 72 hour waiting period.
****No Blood Tests or Health Certificates are Needed****
The Bride and Groom will need:
1.  A valid form of identification - a driver's license from any state, a US passport or a
certified copy of their birth certificate.
2.  A Social Security Number.
3. The price for a marriage license can vary from county to county, so please contact the county in which you get the license.   You may get your license in any county within Texas and it is valid even if married in a different county in Texas.
If either party was previously married, a divorce decree by either party must be final 30 days prior to the marriage taking place.
The Bride and Groom will need to give the license to the person who is officiating the
ceremony, who will sign and complete the license.  Instructions will be given on how to
return it to the Courthouse for recording.
